he never said winning championships he just said winning. I'm sure they'll win a few games this year.

The Rockets front office must feel pretty dumb after pulling out all stops for the guy. I said it way back before free agency even started. Carmelo Anthony just wants to be wined, dined, and courted. He knew all along he wasnt going to leave the city his wife wants to stay in and all that money.... c'mon Rockets, hold a little self respect.

Money and city, two out of three ain't bad. He'll probably get desperate in a few years when the window is closing and try to be a third wheel on a contender.

I had a hard time believing he'd leave NYC, but just as hard a time that he doesn't want at least one legit chance at a chip before it's all over.

Could have said the same thing about Dwight at the time...it's easy to criticize in hindsight

I'm just saying the rockets are coming off as the over eager guy willing to dump everything into the first hot chick he sees. It's mildly embarrassing and unflattering to whomever is being courted.

God forbid they actually explore all options to improve the team and have back up plans. I'd rather have a player that understands a team doing whatever it takes to win rather than the player that needs to have his ego stroked and be courted like a high school girl.

Knicks had to offer max or lose their only asset
Melo had to accept to lock in the big money

Rockets had nothing to lose in trying

everything is always about the money, honey

Sometimes the best deal is the deal you don't make. He was a questionable fit so let the Rockets move on and work on signing Chris Bosh. I'll be real disappointed if we can't sign Bosh, isn't that why Harden and Dwight are here to attract that 3rd star.

If the report is true, it just confirms that Melo has never been about winning but about money and glamor. It was like that when he forced his way to NY not caring what the roster would be after the trade. Now it's just the same old.

They better win, or NYC will be kicking him out of the Garden. They won't care if he's from there or whatever.

In the end if he resigns with NYK no one loses, any player that wanted to win would have moved on from that situation. Melo clearly didn't value winning over money.
