Are you guys watching this? this dude is playing Madden the Cowboys! Another great Texas kid! imagine this: Brees we draft bush moulds Johnson Damn!
LOL. I'd take the Bree's and Bush combo over the Williams and Carr combo any day. Or just VY by himself.
Why can't we draft like SAN DIEGO! They give up #1 Michael Vick and gets Drew Brees/LT then gives up #1 Eli Manning and gets Philip Rivers Drew Brees/LT>>>>>>>Vick Rivers>>>>>>>>Eli oh ps: CARR SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! for the 1,000,000 time will you guys finally LISTEN!!!!!
Drew Brees was coming off a major injury. Signing him was considered something of a risk. Especially the Texans who's O-line was still a big question. I could care less about bringing local boys. But they should stop being so damn bland in the drafting and free agents!
I would take Drew Brees over anyone even Payton manning. Watch Brees take his team to the superbowl. That dude is ICE COLD.
Drew Brees was great last night, no question. But he does have his limits with his arm, size and relative lack of mobility. I would not put him in Brady, Peyton, and McNabb class, you will see when the Saints face a team that applies consistent pressure. San Diego drafted Rivers when they had Brees and later traded Brees for a reason, they think in the end Rivers will be better, and Rivers might be better already. Don't blow one great game out of proportion, Dallas secondary was horrible last night and the front 7 on their D showed no fire at all.
San Diego drafted Rivers when Brees hadn't developed yet, and had a season where he threw 11 TDs and 15 INTs. They didn't trade Brees - he was a free agent. They let him go because they couldn't afford to keep two highly paid QB's, not because they wanted to. Rivers had been great, but Brees is having a ridiculous season. He's at 4000 yards already and he very well could have 5000 passing yards at the end of the season and set the all time passing yardage record. You don't fluke into that.
Play of the night last night: Drew Brees rolls out on a bootleg. The pass rusher gets to him. Brees stiff-arms him with his left hand and throws a strike down-field to his deep man Colston, even though Reggie Bush was open underneath.
