Being a max player is different from being a top 3 NBA player though, there are lots of max players in the league like Kemba Walker. KD was chasing history starting from today he'll be just another max dude.

I know the media is liking New York but that franchise is cursed, the overall NBA fans shouldn't.

He could play for Brooklyn though, the youngins are fun to watch.

I could see him remaining with the Worriers. (Clips/Lakers)

If the Knicks sign Kevin Durant, it will be Deja Vu, like Carmelo Anthony playing with the Knicks.

When Carmelo constantly got injured and quickly declined.

I thought about making a similar thread. As a person who doesnt know what it's like to have millions or billions of dollars I cant see myself spending 38 million for a year for nothing so I wouldn't sign him either to a Max contract. I would sign him to the 4 year with a 3 year price if he only going play 3 actual seasons. Especially since he going be older and who knows how he will recover from his injury. History is not on his side. He is tall and skinny and I see it happening again. Now said that if I was one of those Knicks or nets or clippers fans then I would want the owner to offer him the max. Not sure I would want him with us now even if we could sign him. Before injury yes wlno question. Now after injury I do have questions. We already have injury prone cp3 being paid to much. I never thought I say this but I kinda think I might rather he stay in golden state now. That way they are forced to decide what to do with him and klay and if they pay both max what that will do to the rest of the team. But same time he gotta go.

Warriors should absolutely offer him the max.

30 years old top 3 player in the world with his length and shooting ability can definetly come back and play better than most players out there.

And looking at how much he has done and sacraficed for the franchise it is the right thing to do to make the offer in return. It helps attracting future players in the long term being a respectable franchise not treating players like assets, even if it means to sacrafice a little in the short term.

If they don't Bob's tears are simply worthless.

Durant is light on his feet no matter how he moves. He has the muscle memory to shoot without input from his legs. He doesn't need much to get back into form....He is getting the max.

Why should anyone care what this chump thinks? Tomorrow he could say the exact opposite, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

    Bob Meyer & Joe Lacob:

Kevin, we'd love to have you as a Warrior next season in spite of our financial situation, so we think we can help out both sides - here's a contract for unlimited personal use of a Boeing 737 MAX (with optional software download) and the Taxpayer MLE - do we have a deal?

Warriors should offer Durant the taxpayer MLE and a 4-5 year $35M/year workmans comp claim.

The only thing about “fan forums” that’s a bit disappointing is it’s clear “fans” live in a bubble. Kind of led by the media. All this media and armchair talk is fodder. EVERY GM in the NBA would offer him a super max. Some of the names I’m seeing floating on this topic are so laughable I can’t even comment past the ridiculousness. You guys are really lost
