Episode 3: Every featured R&B act at Cottonmouth's club so far has been in a playlist on my ipod. Is Netflix pandering to my love of the Quiet Storm? Well played...

Interesting how they use R&B as the villain and Hip-Hop as the hero.

Grumpy impressions binge watching halfway through
This show needs another super powered. Big snooze fest with terrible writer induced delays. Not much back story for cage so far, nor is there much connection and support with the other Netflix marvel series seven-eight episodes in (except for one notable exception that seems more of a feeler for another Netflix series...). Possible plot possibilities for more super powered weren't considered (no fun or guessing in this series, like it was designed and paced to be binge watched (1 step forward,3 steps back))

Do not like that Luke cage doesn't want to go all out. More lame than emo superman at the theater

The antagonists remind me of cheaper imitations of the excellent drama Empire.

So far I've really enjoyed it, Marvel managed another really great street level show.

    Does he deal in...precious metals?

What about his prime real estate in Antarctica?

"The only superfreak we like is Rick James!"

I don't think it is the best of the Netflix series and put too much Harlem love in your face, but I enjoyed it a lot. The acting, the music. It was all good.

The embrace and love of culture and homage to Harlem's heritage was nice. As was the social commentary, which is intrinsic to such a story. Looking forward to the season 2 drop.

the outfit of diamondback at the end was way too comic booky. Didn't fit with anything else in the show.

Will watch. Will Jessica Jones (Krystin Ryder) make cameos? Will watch more if yes.

Tis the season when crappy network shows return and we are leaving the drought of summer shows.

I would give this a B'ish. If this was March or April, I would be more disappointed. Its definitely better than Jessica Jones. If one could remove Jessica Jones completely and put Luke Cage in her story line, it would be an A.

I appreciated the steady, albeit slow story line. NYC wasn't being destroyed (once again) by super powerful mutants or aliens and Luke wasn't crying his life away in a bottle or making emo rash decisions just to move the story line. I truly appreciate that in the show.

I felt like the series was forced into 13 episodes when it could have easily wrapped it up in 10. There is just not enough Luke Cage material to dedicate an entire series. Netflix needs to do more like they did with DD2. Produce 3 or 4 series a year and intertwine all the characters through the year.

I just can't get into this show. Cottonmouth is too small time. I know he isn't the real antagonist, but they haven't really introduced the real antagonist yet. 7 million dollars is what Donald Trump spends on his gold toilets.

I have to say that Magneto and Dr. Doom should be a bit higher. Dr. Doom is the king of a country in addition to his 'science and tech' money.

Magneto can pull any rare earth metals he wants from anywhere, potentially making him the richest guy in the world.

Yeah, looked like a Target bought Halloween costume. Def needed some Hollywood post production on that baby.

Hammer tech ain't no stark tech.

I could probably go with that but I think Tennant's performance alone was enough to make Jessica Jones a B-.....but take his performance out of it and it's down to a D IMO.
