Coming from those Celtics teams in the 80s you would think coach would do that. I mean should do that.

He should've explained to the team how when KJ missed that 21st free throw attempt and the Rockets grabbed the rebound....THEY CALLED A G-DDAMN TIMEOUT!!! That's how they were able to set up the Kiss of Death shot in the first place.

 

Ellie would have been a better candidate than McHale for head coach to be honest. Now he's having to come back and rally the troops while McHale's incompetent ass is somewhere looking stupid.

Maybe he'll be on the short list when McHale gets let go. He's had several years as an assistant coach, including under Pop.

 

I hope so. He deserves a shot at head coach if McHale was given a shot.

 

Look at how those Rockets move the ball. Horry gets the ball, Mr. Big Shot, and instead of running up for a shot, he immediately fires it to Ellie who is spot up in the corner.

 

BTW, to this day, I'm still amazed Elie caught that pass from Horry without falling out of bounds. Did you see how high he threw that sucker?

 

Did Lin call a timeout?

 

Love to hear that Mario did this for the Rockets -- he should be on a very short list as a replacement option for McHale.
