Luka is an all-skill player with mediocre athleticism and suspect defense who can shoot. Zion is an athletic freak with average-to-good skills and great defense who can't shoot. 1. Will Zion have a better rookie season than Luka? 2. Who do you take as your building block? 3. Who of those two gets to All-NBA honours faster? I think Luka is and will be a better player than Zion will ever be. With hype surrounding Zion, one would think he's the second coming of Jordan. It reminds me of the hype of Andrew Wiggins. Zion won't end up as Wiggins for sure because he has a much better motor. But would you pick Zion 1st in last year's draft? I'm happy Clutchfans are not hopping on Zion hype train. His game has too many holes to make an immedate impact and he will need a substantial amount of time to get to the point where he can call himself a max player.
I'm actually surprised by how it seem's so many people want zion to fail. I have no idea why. I prefer watching as many good players in the league as possible. There can never be enough .
He is gifted athletically. Has a bit above average vision for his position. But other than that, just an average Joe. I can see him getting away with lots of travelling and offensive fouls in the future. Nothing to get excited as a fan. I would go another mile with this one, but his bbIQ is very questionable.
I think some people are underestimating him for whatever reason and putting him in sort of a box. but hey looks like hes going to have to win over some so well see how it goes. i'm personally looking forward to see how his career progresses
Misnomer about Luka. He has ELITE athletic ability in two areas. Ability to stop, and lateral quickness. (Harden I believe is similar, but not sure how he rates laterally?). Do he's a lot more athletic than people think. What he has done, again like Harden, is cspirsluze on the athletic ability he has. And is injury prone. I kinda liked it the way it was.
I wish Zion would turn out to be a Mini Shaq with a jumper and continue with this discussion otherwise there is no need to talk about it.

I don’t even see the point of this. considering one guy has his team at 10-5 and is avg 30-10-9 and the other guy hasn’t even played a Game because he’s already got bad knees and is overweight at age 19. (no he’s not fat but he’s playing the wrong sport being that big, he’d be a hellauva DE in football tho lol) i don’t see Zion being anything tbh. He’ll be a better draymond green at best. he can’t shoot off the dribble from outside. and he’s not the playmaker like Ben Simmons and he’s not good enough to be the best player on a championship team.
I can see Zion being a 24, 10, and 4 guy with health issues...2nd best player on a championship team who’s athleticism and strength will help him overcome his flaws until the injuries pile up and the athleticism declines Zion will be an excellent player, but I’ll always take highly skilled guys over guys who rely so much on athleticism in order to be great...it would be 1 thing if Zion had the height and length of a Giannis, but he doesn’t Zion vs Luka is no debate
