...he needs to stop saying "no. 1 draft choice" when he means "first round pick". I am sure it has been addressed here before...why doesn't anyone tell him to get it right. He does it like 5 times a game, and has been doing that for what...20 years - but it's still not right.
Says the kid that registered a month ago and started such "classics" as "How scary would the Mon-Stars be if they had Jeremy Lin?" and "There was and will always be one Tracy McGrady"
No, that player is a team's first-round draft choice. He means first round. If you were correct, he would also say it about a second-round pick that is the first pick a team makes. He doesn't, though.
Technically, the player is/was that team's #1 draft choice. It's pretty obvious he's not talking about #1 overall.
Been addressed, yes. But Bill has been around since the peach basket days. The draft used to consist of a lot more than two rounds, so that's why he always says number 1 choice.
I love Bill Worrell, and that he always supports the Rockets and is a real homer. It's just a pet peeve of mine that I wonder why nobody ever seems to tell him to change that wording. It's at least confusing and imprecise.
