Most people believed they were going to be bottom dwellers. But as of right now, they are at the top of the Western Conference. And Doc Rivers deserves a lot of credit. Despite having no big stars, Clippers are showing they can beat anyone. When the season concludes, don't be surprised if they were seeded higher than that other Los Angeles team.
Each and every NBA season there are several teams that start out way above their weight before falling back to earth. Don't get too excited. The dog days of January are coming and it isn't even December yet.
They were the #1 team like 3 or 4 years ago around this time too. When they had CP3 & Griff. Y'all were saying the exact same thing then too. Lulz. Not only are they not going to do anything of substance this year, their GOAL isn't even to do anything of substance (despite what Doc says).
Beating the FA drum to attract talents. Clippers have turned into a valid situation for many. Clippers of the past were bottom dwellers for many years.
i like when someone have a great memory and isn't just going with what is immediately present to the eye
The Clippers are already better and more promising than we are. Their future is so much brighter than ours, it’s not even funny. I definitely believe that Kawhi is headed there if he decides to leave Toronto.
Given their plans to try to sign two max FA’s this summer, does that mean Gallo and Bradley are expendable? Looking at their roster, it’s mostly players in the final year of their contracts.
Yeah, I mean Bradley’s numbers have kind of fallen off a cliff. Not sure what the story is there, but he’s always been a useful 3&D player. Probably a name to keep an eye on if the Clippers eventually decide to punt on this season and go “all in” this summer via free agency. A three-way deal between us, LAC and Cleveland could be mutually beneficial. Something like: Houston trades: Knight, minor asset Houston receives: Bradley LAC trades: Bradley, minor asset LAC receives: JR Smith Cleveland trades: JR Smith Cleveland receives: Knight, draft considerations/minor assets from HOU/LAC I know there’s a thread for spitballing trade ideas, but it’s relevant to the topic at hand.
lol just wait until the annual beverley and gallinari injuries...all of the zion are belong to clippers
Looking at the west . . . . .I seriously never took the Clippers seriously I expected them to fall back to the pack I thought they could make the playoffs but never a significant threat to win the west not without some major trades or something . Rocket River
