If I go off the no beer rule for a week I noticeably gain weight, so I try to stick to wine or whiskey. But... My favorite beer in the world is Fuller's ESB. My second favorite is Staropramen. For cheap beers it's Goldstar or whatever German beer in cans is on sale. In Texas I drank most of the local beers and plenty of Mexican ones, Negro Modelo probably being my favorite. Corona I only drank when I went fishing. I'd consider it half soft drink, half beer. Oh and when I was in Houston at a Rockets game last Jan I had a Bud Light. It was even more awful than I remembered.
I know one! There's a microbrewery in Tel Aviv called Dancing Camel that was founded by Americans, if that counts. It was a bunch of Brits that actually turned me on to the place. The Brits (and Irish) still have the world beat in cider, though. Supposedly the US used to make great cider from a certain kind of apple in New England that wasn't good to eat, but Prohibitionists chopped down the trees. But I guess, like beer, it will eventually make a comeback.
haha What about Olympia? Did you see that World's Best Beers article posted here a few months back. Olympia made the list? So odd. But it is fine. Just not World's Best -- "Jesus man."
'Favorite' usually implies shorter lists than what people have replied with, as it happens with all these types of threads. But that's all IMHO though. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong or anyone else here for that matter.
I'm the opposite. If I go cheap I go Yuengling, but if I going dirt cheap (usually for beer pong), I'm going Keystone all the way. Natty Light is terrible. Can't stand it at all.
A good pint of Directors is hard to beat. It's not easy to keep though, so it depends on the pub. Staropramen would be my favourite lager. I've had lots of decent beer in the US, but the major brewers' stuff? Sex in a canoe.
what tha? the first 10-15 comments I have never even heard of most of those beers... I like Michaelob and Dos Equis a lil bit, Shiner is good too. I had one last weekend that was pretty good some kind of ale.
In general, pale lagers just aren't that good. And light versions just make it worse. That is why Bud/Coors/Miller suck.

Wish we got them. Love their Double Jack IPA. Took me a while to like IPAs. That may have been the first I actually enjoyed.
The title is "Favorite BeerS" (plural) and the op listed several. But if its just one, its the Stone Imperial Russian stout for me. A limited amount gets releases every April. Can find it at specs, whole foods, etc. Highly recommended for people who like stouts like Guinness or Pumpkinator. Great beer to age too.

I get it. I named 2 (or 3) myself. When I think of favorites I just think of shorter lists than what most people have here. It's my personal arbitrary take. It's just that I'm more likely to try out a beer on a short list of 2-3 (or in Jugdish's case separated a top 2) rather than lists of 8-10 or more. Except Prince's. Come on, man.
i feel pretty confident in saying that i've had more beers/styles/quantity than anyone on this board. i think everyone in this thread is right in their opinions on their faves. same as music, art, women, etc. it's subjective. objectively, however, all things are not created equally.
Fair enough, 2-3 would probably be more useful. But there has been such a huge amount of new beers that its hard to limit it.
