Have to start with Guinness (by a good bartender). imo, the most unique beer in a classic category. But one cannot live on Guinness alone. I agree with many of the Belgium selections I agree with many of the American craft beer selections (prefer tap) My current favs is a combination American-craft made Belgian: both the Saison and the "Number One" at Mountain Sun Brewery in Boulder (no commercial sales). I'm currently on a Saison kick anywhere I can get it. I've found I'm no longer a fan of Hops. Don't know what happened, but I can't drink hoppy beer anymore. also, for the Aussie's and SmeggySmeg out there: I still see no has mentioned Coopers
Really like Alamo beer. It's a San Antonio beer that has been popping up more and more around Austin. And of course Shiner. It's like heaven.
It is a sad world when not one person mentions Samuel Smith... Oatmeal Stout Nut Brown Ale Etc... Samuel Smith is the greatest.
most of stout. the last couple of beers that left an impression are: new glarus fat squirrel new glarus dancing man
Lone Star is awesome. It's at the top of the tallboy chain, IMO. 1. Lone Star 2. Pabst 3. High Life 4. Keystone I will happily drink any of the four.
High Life is the most disgusting beer I've ever had. It's like moose piss with a skunk ass aftertaste
Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale (Can't get it in Texas ) Samuel Adams Negra Modelo New Belgium Dig Victory Golden Monkey Magic Hat #9 and Ourtoberfest(Fall Seasonal) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Celebration!(Winter Seasonal) Saint Arnold's Santo and Endeavour -- Also a big fan of their seasonals, Sailing Santa ftw Any of my homebrews of course For cheap beer I will opt for lone star. I drink a lot of different beers; I could write a list for days.
My friends drink it. Always bringing it over... couldn't agree more. High Life is terrible. Keystone is another commonly bought beer I HATE. I'll drink a cheap beer, Natural Light is fine by me, but Miller High Life and Keystone - Jesus man.
Corona - strong and unique Dos Equis - fresh cold taste Bud Light Lime - a hint of lime is enough for flavor Pacifica - smooth and fresh Pilsner - different I don't know why y'all spend so much on beer.
Maybe the thread should just be renamed to 'name beers you like'. Some good mentions so far that I enjoy. But my distinct favorites are Gulden Draak Nostradamus Yuengling for cheap beer that I can easily get at the grocery store. But I live in Florida and I know that it was only sold in Pennsylvania and Florida for some weird reason. Is that still the case?
