I'm trying to compile a list of all the top NBA team fan forums. I have added the ones I know. If anyone knows the rest let me know and I will add to the OP. If there is a mistake, such as I failed to list the most active fan site, let me know as well. I am aware that some team's top forum might not be fan hosted like clutchfans or spurstalk. Some team's top forum might be hosted by realgm or sbnation for instance. I've avoided adding them unless that is in fact that team's top go-to forum for fans of that team for sure. The top Celtics fan forum, for instance, seems to be clearly the one hosted by sbnation, so I've added them. (Surprised such a team doesn't have a fan hosted one.)
I checked it out. It is a sbnation site for the Blazers but isn't really a fan forum site. The top forum for the Blazers appears to be "ripcitytwo.com". It is actually officially sanctioned by the Blazers itself.
http://www.dallas-mavs.com/vb/ It used to have way more traffic when the Mavs were good but it's become a ghost town since they're sooo awful now. They banned me, lol! They can't handle the truth I spit like y'all can.
Is that why your fat a$$ spends time here whenever you're done with your shifts at McD's and the TC toilets?
Also if anyone is a frequent viewer or poster of any of the sites, I also request reviews and comparisons of the different fan sites in terms of layout, content (such as articles, podcasts, etc.), activity, poster quality, etc. Also what NBA fan site do you consider to be second-best to clutchfans?
This is an interesting thread - I would imagine Reddit has some large NBA team subs. For some reason I thought about the arrival of J Lin and and the subsequent invasion of LOFs to Clutchfans and Lakers Ground. Both have a large fan base that can keep them in check - I would imagine whatever Nets forum that is out there was completely taken over LOFs.
ok..Raptors, Bulls, Knicks, Bucks, Orlando use as their main the realgm subforum. Celtics also is 50/50 with celtics blog and realgm. Sacramento use their sb nation page -this is the nicest subforum I have ever seen-. Detroit and nets sub nation, Denver I'm not certain but their sb nation is very active. The two worse imo is a) Warriors own site which is unreadable. b) Spurstalk where there is no mod and everyone is either a troll or racist. The best is the raptors and knicks realgm forums imo, then clutchfans
Sactown: http://www.kingsfans.com/forums/ I think this is one, not sure if that is the biggest. 2500 - members
The non forum parts of the site looks pretty good. There's lots of good, up to date, articles and podcasts on the team from what I can see. The forum though is unique. Most sites seem to use php or similar, like here, with flat sequential posts. Warriors World looks like they prefer a simple, threaded forum using their own software. It reminds me of a simplified reddit thread. It's a matter of preference.
