He gets more leniency because all of his coordinators suck when they leave NE, giving him even more cache.

Bodden undergoes back surgery

Cornerback Leigh Bodden’s release by the Patriots took a lot of people by surprise.

He didn’t immediately get another job (he worked out for the Chiefs), and now we know why. His agent Alvin Keels revealed Thursday that Bodden just underwent surgery for a herniated disc in his back.
