Lebron is pretty smart except when it comes to analytics he is as dumb as Charles Barkley apparently. Extremely ironic Lebron got all up in arms when he was told to just shut up and dribble but when other people do it somehow that's selfish lmao. I hate politics being injected into the NBA but what Morey does in his own free time is his right, like when Lebron campaigned for pay to play or w/e that bill is called. Really disappointed with the King as of late seems he turned to straight up trash the moment he joined the fakers.
This is going to now up in his face big time. What a hypocrite. He'll never be able to champion a cause again. Not that it matters to him anyway, he's clearly about the money.
Bro you realize Lebron has spoken a lot about political issues right? How come it is ok for him to dip his toe in politcal waters and draw lines left and right but other people are ignorant when they do it? He fights hard for student athletes getting paid for endorsements but god forbid somebody else care for people getting beat and killed in HK. Also Lebron is smart but didnt go to college while Morey studied in freaking MIT. The fact that he would call Morey "uneducated" in any way, shape or form is pure comedy.
Have you been around players? Have you been around MIT grads? You can knock the schooling all you want, but in my experience there is generally a massive difference in brain power between these two groups. It is *much* more likely that the players have not considered all the factors, imo.
He only said his country’s political issues which he is familiar with. Morey studied in MIT doesn’t mean he knows everything, doesn’t mean he does not need to be educated in some aspects.
CNN article that ends with some hurt feelings (link): .... Through all of this, NBA players have stayed relatively quiet, making James one of the first to speak out on the issue. When CNN's Christina Macfarlane tried to ask Rockets players James Harden and Russell Westbrook about the NBA's position with China, she was shut down by a Rockets' media officer. "It's already been answered," the media officer said. "This is a question that's not been answered. James?" Macfarlane responded, to which Harden stayed silent. .... Feels like the ending was written by ESPN. But considering CNN's inferiority complex, they can't stop bringing up how their own reporter was denied an answer. The top paragraph juxtaposing LeBron to Houston's handling of the media stinks of bias.
Its the reverse here If you do social activism you make money Collin Kaperbick sold lots of nike jerseys LeBron is clearly thinking of all the kids in China who buy his jerseys and shoes
Are you really that dense? Nobody is saying LeBron isn’t allowed to disagree or to have his opinion... LeBron is essentially saying Morey shouldn’t have commented on something he wasn’t very educated on. How does he know though that Morey is misinformed or educated on this subject? From the PR backtracking that Morey was forced to do after the backlash? The only reason LeBron would even comment on this and critique more is if he has something to lose.... and he does... money in his pocket. Yet LeBron wants to fight for Colin Kaepernick and stand by him when the owners exiled him for losing money in their pockets. If you can’t see the clear hypocrisy in this time, you’re completely lost and ignorant. Try again.
this would be awesome. morey going all in and tweeting 10x about HK now. F silver, F lerbron, F winnie tha pooh altogether. F b****ass tilman too!
NFL and MLB are looking to expand their Chinese market. The leagues definitely do not want to be involved in a controversial topic like this.
An article from The Athletic (free version) says that nobody really know what the Chinese government was thinking . The safety dangers could also come from other Chinese patriots, just like the protesters who beat up pro-China guys on the street.
If he is only familiar with his own country's political issues how does he know Morey is uneducated on this issue? It's projection if Lebron was the one uneducated about it why is he making statements about other people's stance? Makes 0 sense bruh that's like a blind man telling others they are color blind. Of course Morey doesn't know everything, but having graduated from MIT you would expect him to know something about an issue before he tweets about it. I would be surprised if an MIT graduate keeps in wading in stuff he is "uneducated" in cuz you would wonder how that dude managed to graduate from MIT in the first place. At the end of the day all Morey did was retweet the cry for HK to maintain their freedom of speech, freedom of speech which is part of the US' bill of rights. How much education do you need exactly to stand for your country's own values? That's like questioning the Chinese if they know what "One China, two systems" mean. Morey wasn't obligated to tweet out for HK if he did it of his volition he probably wasn't "uneducated" about it because you know, that's how smart people operate otherwise they wouldn't be smart.
