Vecsey: LeBron James 'Definitively' Leaving Cavaliers For Lakers In 2018 LeBron James will be a free agent in 2018 and speculation has been increasing that he will leave the Cleveland Cavaliers to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. "I’m publicly terminating the pandemic of speculation surrounding LeBron James’ playing plans past this season," wrote Vecsey. "For months, many in the media declared or composed presumption the Lakers would be the beneficiaries of his talents when he became a free agent July 1, 2018. I’m eradicating all conjecture and uncertainty! I’m comfortable now in stating unequivocally, LeBron will leave the Cavaliers a second time and join the Lakers, and return the team to LA Lore status." The Lakers are preserving their cap space and looking to create more for 2018 in order to sign two max contract players. James left the Cavaliers initially in 2010 and then returned in 2014. James is spending more time in Los Angeles lately and was seen with his wife this past week looking at high schools for their two sons.
I'd like to see that done in the classic Rockets jersey since Tilman is going to bring it back, damn the Chinese market. It's Houston first baby!
lol now that vecsey has latched on we can pretty much eliminate the fakers from the conversation going forward
Lol LeBron and Shaq are not the same. LeBron played for the cavs for what, 11-12 years in total? Even if he doesn't play a single game for the cavs anymore, everytime someone mentions Cleveland, you automatically think of LeBron. If he goes to LA and finishes his career there, he would have played for only 3 teams, compared to like 10 for Shaq. He will always be remembered as a Cav and moving to LA just seems to make more sense for his family.
