I would plan on stuffing myself with what ever food they give me. If the government is going to take my life away, I would at least leave them a gawd-awful mess to clean up after I die.

I'd have one of those never-ending bowls of something. Doesn't matter what, as long as it doesn't end.

As hard as I try to think of something fancy the only thing that comes to mind if it was my last meal is a bowl of rice freshly cooked.

There's just something about that first bowl of rice from the rice cooker and I can't think of a better way of exiting the world with that feeling.

I would only do it if they let me order it from the outside using a delivery service. Otherwise, I guess I'd have to go for the creamed chipped beef on toast. :(

Probably won't happen unless you commit a capital offense in Japan.

Why'd some people want Diet Coke instead of regular Coke in their last meals?

Maybe regular coke is too sweet for their taste?

I worked at the Hunstville and Darrington unit.

The list you are refering to was what they requested, not what they recieved.

A few posters mentioned that they can order anything from the prison kitchen, that is correct.

Also, although TDCJ banned tobbaco years ago, a recently retired warden at the Huntsville unit would allow them a few ciggs before thier execution.

Wait a minute, you're not allowed to smoke inside of prisons?

You are not thinking like a death row inmate. If they gave a ****, they wouldn't be hours from the chair.

That's correct. But if you read the book Warden by Jim Willet, he admits to letting the soon to be dead inmates smoke a few.
