I think the most positive way to view that was that LMA only really considered SAS and only used PHO for leverage. But it is also possible that he wasn't interested in playing in HOU for whatever reason... if so, hopefully not a widespread perception.

Houston only just talked about winning a championship in the last 10 years. Spurs unfortunately did it more than once.

BTW anyone saw Aldridge jersey burning?

Spurs just agreed to sign Boban Marjanovic, a 27 years old, 7'4" 293 lbs center from Serbia (Red Star Belgrade).

He's the reigning Euroleague first team player at the C spot, won multiple Serbian super league MVP titles.

If you want to make comparison, i say he is perhaps a poor man version of Yao Ming (quite polished offensively with nice outside jumper & FT shooting touch + dominant rebounder, slow defensively with stamina problem).

Seriously? Has this ever happened before? What exactly is Popovich doing to his players, why is everyone willing to go to such lengths just to help the ****ing Spurs?

For comparison's sake Lin b****ed in public when Houston used his jersey number for a Melo recruitment poster, on the other hand we have someone actually retired voluntarily unretiring his number (and erasing his legacy) just so the newest Spurs recruit can feel more at home.

And they just signed one of the better up-and-coming Cs in Europe? They've been dominant since Shaq-Kobe, and both those guys are gone (or should be gone after next year). Why won't these Spurs just go away? :(

I hope you're posting on a Clippers message board as well. You know, the team that beat you last season. Might as well post on a Warriors and Thunder message board as well.

Sorry for previous 2 posts..imgs didnt work..Anywhoo, to those still hoping for Patty Mills..aint happenin. LMA said in interview he was looking most forward to playing with Patty again amongst Spurs. Plus, if Spurs werent planning on Patty staying, Mills would not have been to 1st meeting in LA for recruitment.

Popovich and Buford really do have a different culture with the Spurs. That team has an emphasis on brining in players less concerned with their brand and more with winning.

Of course, as many coaches have stated, that all begins with your best player. When your best player is Tim Duncan, it is easier to convince players to set aside their egos for team success. I think the Spurs have a great Owner-Best Player-Coach-GM combo.

Brining. Interesting... I would never have thought of that.
Do they just put a bunch of salt and herbs and pernod in a hot tub?

Maybe this new high quality Spurs fan poster would know. Oh crap. He's on ignore already. :(

Well-timed gloating, before anything actually happens. Always a smart plan.

Don't worry, I guarantee that we will remember this when the Spurs lose, keep losing, and stop winning championships. And you will be shamed.

Just remember that you are stooping down to the '12 Lakers fans level. I cannot wait to laugh in your face.

You also remind me of Clippers fans ;)

Or you're like that one fantasy owner that prematurely brags about victory, then Gronk goes off for 30 points, and he loses.

The Spurs don't have fans this time of year do they? Aren't they supposed to be gloating about Duke and hoping for the Yankees to finish strong?

Just don't quote him, pls. Thx.

Aside from a zero-content troll though, I do want to encourage sky-high expectations for this Spurs team. Could make anything but a championship all the sweeter, kind of like this year's Mavenfreude. Sweet nectar.
