LaMarcus Aldridge on the line?

Portland reporter has said Aldridge has requested a trade to Chicago and Chicago doesn't want to give up Noah but offering Deng and Bobcats 2015 first round pick. Aldridge basically said he didn't want to be a part of rebuilding process.

Rockets? Anyone? With or without Dwight? The best 4 in the league to Houston?

    Any insight to this?

If the Blazers are wanting somebody of Noah's caliber in exchange for Aldridge, then we don't have much to offer. Maybe Asik and Parsons would get it done, but Parsons is key to bringing Dwight to Houston.

Asik, Motiejunas, every draft pick ever, and Beverley?

    I don't know.

All of this chatter about Aldridge came out of nowhere, and I think it's weird that one of the most quiet stars in the league is forcing a trade out of the blue.

everyone thinks/knows that LMA is the ultimate of ultimates! If he somehow finds his way into a Houston uniform, while we already have Dwight in tow, we will be right there next to OKC imo. But of course the only way we get him is to more than likely get rid of Omer, picks, and maybe even more. So it's kind of a catch-22, if we get him but gut the team we have no bench at all, or if we don't get him, we now can have some cap flexibility going forward to make a move for someone else who catches our eye.

I say GO FOR IT!!! If anyone can figure out a way to make it work and still keep our core together it's Morey!

    Chicago reporter, not Portland

I still wonder how much truth there is to these reports. Ric Bucher first reported* this(Aldridge being a possible trade candidate), I dismissed it - 'Not gonna happen' - but you are starting to hear his name more and more out there.

*Ramona Shelburne, actually, is where I first heard it.

So many things came out of blue.

How does anyone see James Harden trade until it happens.

Deng does not even fit in in Portland. Chicago has no pieces to trade directly with the Blazers. A 3rd team would have to be involved.

Parsons is key to bringing Dwight to Houston, sure...but you're saying Dwight would RATHER have Parsons than LMA? Come now...

    Lin
    Harden
    Anyone
    LMA
    Howard

Wow...Bev, Tjones, DMo off the bench. Maybe we can get Garcia for Room MLE to add to starting lineup, then another vet and our PHX 2nd round pick to round out our rotation. droolz

Once a player asks for a trade, you might as well trade them wherever you can get the best return for your team. Their preferred destination is just noise.

The problem is whether he will sign an extension if he is traded to a team not named Contender

    And they aren't offering Noah.

Of course Chicago already had Aldridge and traded him for Ty Thomas. lulz

Asik and the 34th pick or deng and a protected pick? If it is not enough...the rockets should at least consider throwing in parsons. Maybe they should ask dwight what he thinks in july. :)

But they are not and will not offer noah. You dont have to beat an offer that isnt on the table.

Yup our best package would be Asik, Parsons, Jones/Motiejunas and multiple future first RD picks. Which is a decent package, but its not going to be anywhere near a home run for a player like Aldridge and love.

    Step 1: Sign Howard
Step 2: Trade Asik and whatever for Aldridge
    Step 3: Acquire championships
    Step 4: Horatio Caine glasses

I don't believe it, Bulls want Aldridge, that's probably the only thing that is going on here.
