You have Trump putting people with Riley pictures on their shirts in front rows of his rally, as he shouts his immigration fear mongering. About 50 people are murdered every day in this country. There have probably been 850 murders since Feb 22nd, but only one of those poor victims has Republicans screaming in outrage, because she was killed by an illegal. Yes, it's horrific, but so are all the other murders committed by US citizens every single day. Yeah, there will always be sickos and violent people in every demographic, but don't believe fiction over facts when talking about illegals murdering people more than Americans in this country. Women get killed my their husbands, and vice versa. Kids get killed by their abusive parents. Serial killers will always exist, as will robbers, mass shooters, violent offenders, women being raped and killed, extremists, domestic terrorists, gang bangers, and nutjobs owning weapons. This is America. Where are the millions of Americans murders from those 15 or 16 million dangerous immigrants Trump tells his supporters are poisoning our country? “They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. Trickle down economics doesn't work. Tax breaks for billionaires is going to make it worse. When people can't afford homes, can't afford healthcare, can't afford rehab for drugs, can't get mental healthcare, can't afford prescription drugs, and can't afford to send their kids to college, it's not a good sign of things to come. To fix crime fix the poverty gap. With more poverty, guns, drugs, loose gun laws, and violent offenders walking free, crime will increase. It's not rocket science. Get more criminals off the streets by making much much stiffer penalties for violent offenders, drug dealers, child abuse, domestic abuse, sexual assault, driving under the influence, possession of illegal weapons, etc... Stop putting children back into the homes of abusive parents. In the United States, more children died due to abuse or maltreatment at the hands of their parents than other relationships. In 2021, around 311 children died due to abuse by two parents, and 408 children died due to abuse by their mother. Stop giving bail to violent offenders. Stop letting drunk drivers get 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances. Start making driving without insurance a felony. An estimated 14% of drivers were uninsured in 2022. let a child rapist ever step free again. Put human traffickers away for life. Put clients paying to have sex with minors away for life. Stop the ridiculous loose gun laws and start making common sense gun laws. Need I go on?

I agree with most of that. Don't think jailing uninsured drivers is necessary or wise though. * BTW, according to one statistic, Mississippi has the highest uninsured motorist rate at 29.4%!
There wouldn't be so many uninsured drivers if penalties were much stricter. It drives up the cost of insurance for everyone. We have a 20% rate in Texas. It's ridiculous. Maybe jail's not the answer, but I don't know how you detour these jerks without scaring them of being locked up.

Which would do more to help prevent more murders from people here illegally? A. Calling them illegal and not apologizing B. Passing the legislation that will hire more security and processing personnel to get the thousands that don't qualify out of the country (or at least working with Biden and Dems to make any changes) ? Biden was right in his SOTU. He asked the Republicans what they didn't like and asked Trump to make suggestions so they could work together on it. The bill has the votes right now to pass but Johnson won't even bring it up for a vote.
