Kyle Tucker: Could he be our everyday LF in 2018?

Discussion in 'Houston Astros' started by Shark44, Feb 25, 2018.

?

Is Kyle Tucker ready to be our everyday LF?

  1. No, kid needs some more time in the minors to work on a few things.

  2. Yes, potential is oozing from him, let's get this party started!

  3. Maybe, its still early in Spring Training, let's not hyperventilate over the kind just yet.

Were a Kyle Tucker away and a elite closer from being the undisputed best team in the majors. Astros would take control of the best record in mlb and home field advantage.

We already are the best team, and it is going to take more than that to convince the holdouts. Astros are going to have home field advantage and best record at the end of the year as long as they stay reasonable healthy.

And those same holdouts, or those who constantly complain after every loss, are the ones all concerned about the home play as it is... so they're probably thinking they'd be better off on the road anyways.

I agree that they're going to be just fine (barring injury), and should end up having the best record by the end.

Their +173 run differential at this point is one of the best in AL history... something about it being the best since the 30's Yankees.

Man, this is fantastic. We're having a great season and now Ted will get his shot. Very excited to see what he can do at the big league level. Hate to lose Jake, but hope this gives him a chance to get his stroke back.

That is awesome for Tucker... He’s earned his opportunity; and he has the legitimate chance of being a true game changer type talent....

He didnt play last night, fairly confident he is already in Houston and will be in the lineup today.

Fresno is notoriously a total pain in the ass to travel in/out of. I'd think it all depends on when he got to Houston (it may have been late), they may give him a day to acclimate but I dunno.

I am disappointed in CF for not staking out the airport.

I wouldn't think so. He sat out last night. They obviously knew far enough ahead because Alvarez was already in Fresno and starting in LF last night. I would guess he was here in plenty of time to be in there today. I also don't think it matters if the pitcher is lefty or righty, Tucker is here to play everyday

And what's the worst thing that could happen, I go watch the World Champions play

I'm going to be there, not the best seats. But they are free and hell any seat at an Astros game is a good seat. Wife's birthday and going with my brother, Hell yeah going to be a great day.
