When asked if this is the best team on paper that he's been a part of: "I don't know... Uh, no. I would say no. I had a chance to play with T-Mac, Yao Ming, Shane Battier..."
Of course. That Rockets team would have swept LeBron and the 17-18 Cavs instead of being the ones that got swept.
You mean the elective micro fracture surgery McGrady chose to have without consulting with the team? This after he showed up out of shape to start the season then asked to take three weeks off in Jan to work on conditioning? I'm not even counting McGrady for that season, definitely not for the playoffs.
why do people keep mentioning McGrady, the team played better when he went out. Artest in the starting lineup with Brooks and Yao was what got the job done.
McGrady was the man every year for the Rockets in the playoffs when healthy. Therefore, we rationally conclude that his entire career sucking after 2008 is due to injury, not because he chose to quit a max contract level career for no reason. He's still friends with Yao and spoken of well by other teammates, just recently by Rafer Alston. Send some hate mail to Kyle Lowrys twitter to set him straight.
They should make a fake trophy for McGrady to make his fans happy or get a McGrady skin for Fortnite when they are the first player eliminated in the Battle Royale
What's amazing about Morey is that he pulled off 2 of greatest expensive garbage dumps of all time The broken max player Tmac at the end of his career and Ryan Anderson this year And he got stuff back for them!
Right if Houston got the 05 or 07 version it'd have been a different dynamic, but tmac that season was a non-factor (well pretty much the rest of his career after this). Hell the Rockets got to the 2nd round for the first time in Mac's career, challenged the lakers and did it all w/o him. Yao stays healthy and the Rockets win it all.
Wasn't this around the time tmac dumped the trashcan over in the locker room, hahha, can't remember if it was that season or the next.. Houston needed tmac from 05/07/earlier during magic then he'd have been another chance to take the Lakers, assuming yao still gets hurt etc. Although... with tmac, would it have been a first round curse (again)?
Yes Back when this happening there were threads about the team being much stronger and united without him
