Just FYI, there have been "free 30 day trial" promo codes for Paramount+ since it began a few years ago. There are people who have had it for years and not paid a penny; you just re-sign up with a different email (and I think the Gmail trick works).

Could you just buy a cheap, small antenna that connects through the coax port and just get CBS over the air when you need it? We have an extra TV we barely use and have a Firestick and also a small, flat, plastic square antenna connected to it. I am surprised at how many channels and programming is still running out there over the air, and the HD quality over the air is surprisingly pretty sharp.

What's "the Gmail trick"?

 

I asked AI and got the following as a response,

The trick involves adding certain characters and symbols, like a plus sign or a period, to your Gmail address. This makes third-parties think it’s a completely new email address, while Gmail treats it no different than your original email address (they ignore periods and some special characters). This way you still receive all of the emails that you regularly would under your regular account, but the services that you sign up for treat it like a new email address and user.

I just created an antenna from an old coax cable that I had (see this video). Video quality was excellent.

Is this the blackout for directtv streaming too? I think direct tv I think that crappy satellite they tried to push. We are legacy uverse but they have been phasing that out for years and I think we might be the last ones using it. Last time re-upped uverse I was told that would probably be the last time and that everything is being pushed to their direct streaming.
