    I do not think he is a stat patter, What should he do then, not get a rebound and not make a assist. Or on purpose miss a shot if it is garbage time?
    he is just a great player.

    (even if he is a stat patter who cares, everybody that has seen him play knows he is just an amazing player.)

    you cant tell me that the spurs wouldn't do just as well if they traded TD for KG.

    Yeah, the T-Wolves definitely don't run their "give the ball to Garnett and let him dribble out the shot clock" play enough...

    Duncan > Garnett.

    Who cares if Garnett is the most talented player? Sure he can score, rebound, assist, block...but can he win?

    Duncan = winner
    Garnett = talented player

    The Spurs are winners. Besides Garnett advanced further last season than Duncan did, doesn't make Duncan a loser. Team sport dude, team sport.

    I'd take them both over any other PF in the league so it doesn't matter anyway.

    Definitely.

    Plus Duncan is a go- to scorer and Garnett just isn't. Garnett settles for jumpers and fadeaways too much. Duncan is also superior in interior defense.

    Sorry, i was just pointing out that one player having more rings than the other doesn't make him the better player as basketball is a team sport. They are both great but they shouldn't be judged on the success that their respective teams are able to achieve.

    Hell, I'd take them both over any other PF in the league too. We can start the game with Yao/Duncan/KG/T-mac/My Grandma. Then we can have Duncan backing up Yao and KG backing up Duncan when we slide T-mac to the 3 and put My Grandpa into the backcourt too....

    Yeah, yeah. I know what you meant. ;)

    I think people saying Garnett is better than Duncan is about the equivalent of the people that used to say David Robinson is better than Olajuwon. Robinson had better stats in the regular season, but Olajuwon always carried his team to victory. I don't care what Garnett's stats are, Duncan has the rings, without having any superstars with him. Do you think Ginobli would be considered a star with his 15ppg if he didn't have Duncan?

    You can't tell me that a healthy Duncan would ever miss the playoffs.
