I made my own using Chick-fil-a instead of KFC. Double Bacon (4 slices) No Cheese According to my calculations Each Breast was 250 cal, 12 g Fat and the back is 160 cal, 12 g fat total for all four slices. Total 660 cal 36 g fat. But man was it good.
Well it's fried chicken on a bun. Did you think it would be healthy? The best one I've seen is the "Fried Chicken Salad". I can't remember where I saw that, but that's just hilarious. Fried chicken strips... oh but wait, it's on green stuff - instant fat neutralization! BTW, if you like the 6" Subway Tuna sub, don't - go ahead and grab a Big Mac instead.
Taco Bell isn't even trying to hide behind the "Salad is healthier" misconception anymore, as evident by their recent line of commercials in which their Taco Salad was advertised as being "Lettuce Free" And yeah that Tuna Sub is a killer, Subway is decently healthy as long as you watch the condiments. Mayo = Pure Fat.
Some KFC exec must be laughing his ass off that they've got people to buy their new sandwich without any buns.
Awesome! From The Consumerist. Who's getting one? [rquoter] KFC's Bacon Sandwich On Fried Chicken "Bread" Starts Killing People Nationwide April 12 Last August, we wrote about the "Double Down," a mysteriously tempting (and potentialy lethal) new food item being tested by KFC. For those coming late to the story, it's bacon and cheese sandwiched between two pieces of fried chicken. And now, many months later, I'll finally be able to get my hands on one. KFC announced the decision to go live with the Double Down yesterday, but we weren't sure they weren't playing a April Fools gag. But no, they truly are going nationwide with the delicacy on April 12. The sandwich will be available in two forms. The Original Recipe sandwich will set you back about 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. The not-as-bad-for-you Grilled Double Down totals 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium. No kidding! It's a reason I never salt anything. There is far more salt that is already in the foods we eat than we need. You don't need to add any, and look at the "healthy" version... it has more salt than the "unhealthy" thingy.
Oh man that looks delicious! I shall try one... Luckily I'm still 24 years young. I think I can down a few of those without any immediate consequences...
