For all of the hate that the media likes to pour onto Russ and Harden, they both seem to be the happiest among all of the stars in terms of team/career situations.

I imagine having to share a locker room with an ahole like Dramond Green would make anyone unhappy.

Russ can lay it on the reporters more than he should. But yeah he re-signed in OKC with zero drama.

Right idea Shump but that pass isn't in your wheelhouse.

Joining a championship team gave him the rings but it didn't give him the satisfaction. The only way to get that satisfaction is to actually lead a team to the championship.

It's kind of ridiculous to say, but his rings probably feel like a role player feels. The team was probably going to win it with or without him. He was a major contributor, but just one of many.

If he wants true satisfaction, he needs to join a team that actually needs him and build it into a champion. Nothing can top that feeling. That's what the greatest players really want. They want to prove they can do it on their own. We saw it with Kobe. We saw it with Jordan. We saw it with Hakeem. We are seeing it with Harden and Westbrook. Those guys didn't jump ship to win a ring. If and when Harden and Westbrook finally break through, they will have 100 times the satisfaction that KD has with his rings. It just isn't the same. There is no shortcut to that feeling.

Except I don't think they win without Durant the last two years. I think the cavs beat them in 17 and rockets in 18 without KD.

He won 2xFMVP so how could he feel like a role player winning the championship?

    Take is nonsense.

How? They were the best team without him. They just beat us the other day without him. You think he has the same satisfaction as Hakeem had? What about Kobe or MJ? Or Dirk? Or even LeBron?

So tell me, who's team was the Rockets when we won both rings? Who's team was the Cavs, Bulls, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs? What about the Warriors? I can tell you there is a clear answer for all of them but GS. That's the difference.

Fact is, GS didn't need him. Everyone knows it including KD. He will never get the accolades he wants because he was just a spoke in the wheel for his two rings.

If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell you.

I think they would win anyway. It's definitely questionable and why you never hear about KD as one of the greats or even a possible MVP candidate anymore. When he was leading OKC, you heard it all the time. His star power has dropped significantly since joining GS.

Just my opinion of course, but I think he's out of GS this year to prove he can do it as the leader instead of a supporting piece on Currys team.

They're both ball freaks who are comfortable in the media spotlight.

They both exhibit incredible will power and work ethic.

I think expectations got too much into Katy's head

I love that Durant is calling out Perkins.

So many of these talking heads that were scrubs get heady talking noise. Like Perk was a decent center, he was a replaceable player on that Celtics squad. I hate how he talks like he knows what it takes to win games.

This just happened? Like today? I'm liking Kendrick Perkins so much more than I used to.
