Jazz would be a better matchup for the Warriors, because the Rockets guards lack the athleticism to keep up, Yao can't keep up, and the Warriors can treat McGrady like they did Nowitski.

    Thoughts?

^^ what he said!! It all means nothing if we cant take game @ home.

The Warriors would probably run all over our Rockets anyways...

I still want the chance to see, especially with Baron Davis hurting.

But, Yao has to make quicker decisions he could dominate the GS Warriors....if he wanted to.

The Warriors cant do what they did to Dirk on T-Mac because Yao will kill them. Thats what the Mavericks lack, they dont have a big post presence.

In order to treat T-Mac like Dirk AND take Yao out the Warriors would need 6 or 7 people on the floor at the same time....

The Jazz have been straight up for the most part in their defense of Yao and T-Mac, thats why our role players havent been getting as many wide open looks.

i think they will treat yao like dirk. if we learn anything about yao, warriors is the type of team that can shut yao down (see phoenix defense)

tmac is not dirk. tmac is a perimeter player that can do many things, not like dirk who just is a glorified shooter

The Warriors will front Yao with Harrington. It was quite successful last time.

Of course if Yao can regain his pre-injury form, then Yao can deal with fronting better.

Sadly, i would say Golden State will kick our asses to planet pluto if they play like the did to Dallas... Yao is gonna be winded in 3 minutes, and Tmac will get hammered by pietrus and jackson...

Baron will OWN rafer, oh my god, i can't even imagine...

But lets get past 1st round first.

We CANNOT get into a Rafer vs Baron/SJax/JRich 3 point jack fest.
    we will lose!

Personally I think Rockets will do better against the Warriors than the Mavs did.. Which is partly why I've been rooting for the Warriors (plus the fact I hate the MAVS Muhahha)..

Dallas struggled because they can't have an inside defensive presence the same time as having an inside offensive presence.. Which is why Warriors ran up and down when Diop or Dampier were in the game.. Without Diop or Dampier, Dallas had no interior defense so Warriors kept penetrating.. it was Dallas' MATCHUP NIGHTMARE..

However, with Yao, we do not sacrifice offense by keeping him in the game.. Yao is only 1 player out of 5, while Dallas needed two players to do his job.. This is why Rockets will match up better with GS than the Mavs..

That is the one thing that scares me about the Warriors.

JVG packs the paint.....if they hit their 3s we lose, if they miss them...we win....

Gonna be tough....first the Jazz though.

I just love the Kerr attitude that, well if they beat Dallas, they can easily beat everyone else except my precious Sperms.

It's true. Yao would have a much harder time against the Warriors. Check the Rockets last game vs GS. They took Yao completely out of that game.

Hey guys.... we still have a game Saturday to play... versus Utah.

Or would y'all rather just have the Jazz win?
