ppppppppphhhh I wish. Saw a photo of the rocket's "war room" with all the assistants and I said "I could have that terrible haircut and probably would have the same amount of success picking players"

[EDIT: deleted complaint about our "low" offer. I didn't know that we upped our offer to $70M. Hard to find info in this thread at this point, LOL.]

We have a LOT of money to spend and increasingly, we'll be picking through a refuse heap and by definition overspending.

OR, if Les is much smarter than we think, we will REALLY tank. Field basically a Vipers unit around Harden, let some talent develop and hopefully, finally, get a decent position in the draft.

To me, honestly, making the playoffs this year really killed our entire next season. And we easily had a choice to drop a couple of those games. That horrendous display, D-Mo's magic butt sweat being a highlight, *hurt* our chances to sign free agents, and it gave Morey less to work with, since we had no draft pick to parlay or highlight.

The dude turned down $2 million extra to go back to Atlanta.

Harden attracts free agents my ass.

Could be a blessing in disguise for some wings we already have such as KJ and Decker. Honesty, what is the harm in seeing what those two have to offer at a much lower cost? I'm pretty sure those two combined can maybe match the WinShares Per 48 that Bazemore would give you.

Sign Horford and Bismack Biyombo to solidify your front court and change D-Mos game to more of a perimeter shooting threat.

You're not going to blow any doors off, but at least you get to see what your young wings can do and you've got bangers who can rebound.

The Hawks gave Bazemore a Player Option on the 4th year. Did the Rockets offer that? That might have swung things. Morey normally does not do POs.

We should let Keuchel throw the pitch, it will likely be a home run.

More than 2 million when you consider the state tax in Georgia

Which is a FOOLISH move on his part, and sets himself and the team up for failure.

    Goran Dragic anyone?

How exactly would a mid first round pick have helped? Making the playoffs did not kill anything that is an exaggeration that has caught on around here.

At most it cost us a mid first round pick and a Marcus Morris type or Sam Dekker is not going to make us that much better.

I think when people bring up the #12 pick, they are trying to say that that pick could have potentially been packaged as part of a deal for another player.

A first round playoff loss really does nothing to improve your team no matter how you try to spin it. It is really just a waste of time.

Like how it was part of the deal invoking George hill and Teague. Those are significant upgrades for our guard positions
