    No athleticism?

This coming from somebody advocating scrubs like Zhou Qi get pt. Faried doesn't have to shoot the ball, all you do as a big man with the Rockets is rebound, run the court, and dunk the ball similar to capela. You do know what a rim runner is, right?

Nene had a very nice 2 way skill set. Nene is/was a better player.

I said all instinct and athleticism thats basically all he has going for him.

Capela doesn't just rim run he also anchors the defense and scores in the paint. If its just running around and dunking the ball Qi could easily do that no need to get Faried. Sure Faried can dunk harder but you don't get plus pts for that.

I wont disagree with the 'was'... but if he cant even make it on the court, i'd question the 'is'... lol

    Post to buyout candidates thread

Anyways, wouldn't mind him as a small ball center. We got Olympic Melo, could we bring out the Olympic Faried?

He’d be a great signing once he’s bought out.

Can rim run, play perimeter D effectively (for a big), and brings an infectious energy to the table.

Issue with him would be rim protection, but he’d be a notable upgrade to Hartenstein and Chriss.

If he's bought out and is willing to take a cut rate deal... then sure... I always liked his hustle...

Or it may be worth getting out from under the additional year of Knights contract.... but ow i wouldnt want to give up the assets to offset his 13.7M contract...

No Qi can't do that because he's not fast enough. Have you watched ANY games? Capela's biggest strength is his speed, in which he's able to outrun most bigs to the rim. Faried's not as big, but he's faster than Capela & more athletic. Qi is slow & not athletic at all.

The Rockets want to play fast with more buckets in transition from early offense, having a rim running back up is perfect for Faried. Qi is terrible

this is who mle money should target at a position of need for this team

you don't dump mle money into someone like house who already got a fair offer.

Bringing him in to foul and catch boards? Exactly what we need. Give PJ a bit of a break. Dont know if hes the backup 5 we need but he should better than Criss so.. ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

Yeah because we got 2 HOF PGs, won't recommend to other teams with mediocre PGs.

Better than Chriss for sure. Faried is still 28 and strongly built. He can give some relief to Tucker, since he is 6'8''. Tyler Zeller is 7'0'' 29 yrs old and around 250 lbs. I think he is better than Hartenstein. I like him, because he works hard, but Tyler is more athletic than him.

Hart tries hard on defense by rotating out on the perimeter. Tyler will probably stay nearer the paint and give a bit more on offense. Defense is not his strength, although he can rebound a bit. The problem with Hart is lack of athletic ability. I think he would have been a good backup for Clint, if he didn't have this problem. I don't think Hart can improve much in the G-League.
