I think he just can't defend on the perimeter.

If I remember correctly, Faried was pregnant during the playoffs.

Kelly needs to speak to him again. He would be an amazing running mate to WB.

a smaller quicker guard got by him...
PJ should have contested... and CP3 shoulda cut off the dropoff pass... and faried should run out on the CP3s man on the perimeter...
Instead PJ played the middleground and CP3 decided to play behind the dump off man...

    ...imo... poor coaching or execution...

but if yer only gonna put guys on the court that Steph cant go around.... good luck getting a rebound or any rim protection...

And one airball that clearly shook his confidence, Ken refusing to take another one for weeks.

Mike recognized and pulled the plug.

Yup, that was a big problem when switching worked in the series, other than when PJ crashed the boards Mike a madman.

the nice thing about this season is that our competition would be the la teams and as good as they are, I don't think they can get by our bigs as easily as steph or klay could

I could forgive Faried... its size vs quickness... you try to find the balance... folks dont b**** about a guard getting dunked on by a pf or center.... You never hear "oh he's too small - he'll get dunked on if they switch so we better keep all 6.8+ on the floor..." ...lol

The guy who was worthless that play was CP3... whats he doing? Leaving his man on the perimeter to prevent Green from backpedaling away from the bucket? lol

Imo... Faried was no worse than PJ or CP3 that play...

Your points are fair. The problem was, they really attacked the f out of Faried when he was out there. Warriors have destroyed traditional PnR defense since 2015, and Rockets had the most effective defense in the continuous switch. It was just a bad fit. Faried was terrible laterally all year.

He played 5.22 mins and was +2 in a game we lost by 6 - for the series...
    prevoius games vs GSW
    3/13 13.20 mins +3 lost by 2
    2/23 33.11 mins -2 won by 6

    in rd 2 he was +8, +8, +2, -1, -5...

I think we could have used his energy and rebounding...

Did we not gameplan for if he gets beat off the dribble? PJ and CP3 looked clueless...
We're not gonna gamplan to offset someone's deficiencies then and just lose out on their positive attributes?

sorry... I'm not an MDA fan - but loved what Faried could bring... so it still rubs me wrong... lol

Happens to every shooter. Airballs happen, even the pros lose their nerve.

    Ask PJ.

Faried's NBA days are likely over - probably headed overseas to China next

KF is an outstanding offensive rebounder. Ok defensive rebounder. Our problem was and likely still will be defensive rebounding. Can’t move his feet on defense. Eventually lost playing time his last few stops. No one has signed him.

    Not worth this much discussion.

I sure hope Daryl Morey doesn't look at his calculator & determine Faried doesn't fit. Faried will flourish with WB because he's a open court player & WB is a guy that is too. We'd be a problem with Faried running the court & WB throwing him lobs

    Lol so much this!
cp3 ego and others constantly got abused when switched to the big big time, but when faried or even rhyno gets scored on by a small its 'he cant stay on the floor ' decree
    why is that?
