My wife's father's side of the family is largely Hawaiian. Her maiden name is Hawaiian. They have a family reunion on Maui most years and like 100 people show up.

She's never been. Neither have I.

Her dad rents a time share for a week or two every other year on Maui. We went to dinner earlier in the year, and we told him she was pregnant- due December 20th. He said he was going to ask us to go to Hawaii with them the week before that.

I volunteered to go, but I don't think I'll be allowed.

It was easily the best vacation I ever had. Perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

Wanna hear about it. When's a good time for a Houston run during the playoffs?

    Talk to me Goose.

I'm going to game 2 of the ALDS, but other than that next weekend would work. If game 1 is during the afternoon, I'm going to Jakes.

My hookup from this thread warned me about the recent Kauai inundation.

Looks like Kauai got, if not Harvey-fied, something like 30 inches of rain, mainly affecting the island's North side. The wife and I are visiting in a few months and our accommodations---well, the East side is "less trashed" than the North side, but historic rainfall. I don't know how quickly they'll rebuild washed-out roads and whatnot (I know the island depends obviously on tourism).
