http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18042894/ What - he's going to teach knees to the groin, elbows to the head and flopping and bear-huggings to a new generation of basketball players? The Mailman does not deliver on Sundays! - Quitten
Not saying much. I don't see how a player like Malone has anything to teach or has anything of value to be an assistant coach. I just think John Stockton wasn't available so they went with the next best thing.
I never liked Malone much, he didnt have that Vince Young, Hakeem Olajuwon, MJ, type intangible. But you cant teach that. What you can teach is hard work, conditioning, and what it takes to give 100%. Malone did that. He worked hard in the offseasons, treated his body like a temple, and improved his FT shooting drastically. He went from a clumsy strength player to deadly marksman in a short span. He was dedicated like few players are. If he can get through to the players he would be great...
Vince has won at every level, while he isn't in their level yet I have to doubt he will be when it is all said and done.
im assuming you meant no doubt and not to doubt, but no way can or should anyone put him in the same sentence with the other 2, give me a break
Karl Malone never struck me as an expert Xs and Os type of guy. It's quite possible that the only job he could be worse at is an english teacher.
I was trying to describe an intangible. It doesnt have a name. Clutch perhaps? But thats not even the right word. No Vince isnt up there with MJ. But they possess "it". A will to win. To take over. If you deny that you are crazy.
I would have to see him over several NFL seasons, 1 college title doesn't mean he has "it", what's funny to me is when Carr has a horrible game against Pitt a few years ago and the defense scored 3 td's, its oh defense won carr is horrible, but vince does it and oh its his leadership and intangibles, blah blah blah he was horrendous as a player this year, ya i know he was a rookie but he was worse then joey freakin harrington
He needs to take his ass to an MMA event and compete : http://www.makingpages.org/hoops/Malone.danger.html
your just plain wrong. and he will prove you and everyone else like you in the past wrong. its pathetic
come on, every one knows that a 50% completion and throwing more INTs than touchdowns in your first year automatically puts you in the class of the all time greats...just b/c you won in high school and college.
