Actually this forum was created for discussion not to try to get people to react to unrealistic proposals and ridiculous suggestions (aka Royce White having Magic potential).
Inserting reality check: Garnett will be better than Davis, although Davis has superstar talent. McGrady will be better than Lamb and it is not even close. Bosh will be better than Jones. The dude averaged a 24 and 10 in Toronto. Johnson will lose in a fight to Royce. And that's it. Talent wise? Not...Even...Close...
Actually, there is some discussion going on in here. You and a couple of other sensitive types are the ones going off the deep end.
Since you are so confident, how about you put your community life on the line? Retire from clutchfans permanently if Davis receives more ROTY votes than any of these guys, barring serious injuries.
I'm the one going off the deep end, but you are the one suggesting a 7th overall pick is the same as a 1st overall. Then you go on to compare Royce to one of the greatest players ever .... but I'm the one going off the deep end. Hey what was your other account before coachbadlee?
You mean you are going to flip-flop when things are not going your way and pretend that has been your stance the whole time? Sure reminds me of someone. Are you sure you aren't an alternate account?
badlee since you are here for discussion....Earlier you said the Rockets trading 3 1sts for the #7 pick provided a precedent that would make your trade realistic. Would you please explain this logic?
You can't say Davis will not reach Garnett for sure. Mcgrady, Bosh, Johnson were all top picks and the people you are comparing them to are not top picks. Chances are Davis won't be as good as Garnett but the gap will most likely be smaller than the other comparisons based on the fact that Davis is a number 1 pick while the other players are mid first round picks.
Don't know if it's good or bad that I was mentioned. First of all, R. I. P. Eddie G. Second, NOH nor any other team would trade their 1st overall for 3 mid to late first round pick. This is straight out robbery to the nth degree. If it ever happens, that drunken imcompetent GM would be fired the next day, and if the owner supports it, fans would be run him out of town. I personally didn't participate in voting. I mean why vote when this trade will only happen in a wet dream?
1st off, these are badlee's comparisons. I agree with you; the gap will be smaller with Davis and Garnett. I said Davis has a chance to be a superstar. But a top 15ish player of all time like Garnett (imo)? Eh. 80% chance that does not happen. You have to remember this post's original intent was to criticize badlee. I agree with basically everything in your response.
There is a good reason why i started the thread off with "this is hypothetical". You purposely forgetting this part is the precedent for your argument. Besides i don't feel like arguing back and forth with my other moniker.
Yea like I said chances are Davis won't reach that level. If you think about it only a handful of 1st picks ever reached that level but what i am saying is that he has a chance. I say there is a 10-20% chance he reaches a level close to KG maybe not as good but close. Last 20 years we had. Better than KG Shaq Tim Duncan Lebron James Franchise players Dwight Allen Iverson Rose Borderline Franchise/possible franchise Blake Griffin Kyrie Irving Yao(due to health) Not bad not bad at all.
