Big guys that are smart handlers and have skills have always been a dominant archetype. Giannis Luka LeBron Magic The list goes on and on from great to good players . Being big and having the ability to handle the rock go hand in hand with success . The rockets have a great shot at that with sengun . Smith is looking.like a future great complement imo . I propose we both play around sengun and play Tate as a guard . I want to see this lineup in at some point Tate Matthew's Kmj Smith Sengun This lineup tests senguns ball handling , he will have more guards swarming him to make him uncomfortable. It tests Smith because he will have to bail us out more with rebounds and shot making . It tests KMJ's continued cutting game , along with his 3 ball . Defensively too It doesn't test Matthew's, I think he is what he is , maybe he can get better on defense It tests Tate's shot , playmaker, everything... but we've given kpj and green carte Blanche to **** around. Kmj and Tate have been here 3 years . So has kpj , but he's been given a primary role . The guy to build around is sengun . Him and Smith have started gaining a little chemistry. Kmj adds athleticism . Tate adds defense and just speeds up ball movement . Because of favoritism green would start ahead of Matthew's, and kpj over Tate, but Tate is a guy I can see KPJ being ok with taking over. If KPJ can learn to play like Tate and green can learn to play like matthews then you'd want them to play because of their athletic potential and youth . But they need to watch first. Gordon has actually looked a bit more engaged. You could put him in for Matthew's. But, idk how much he wants to risk his body for this team..
If you put him at pg next season, you can use kpj logic and say it’s his first real season and evaluate for 3 years after that
