Time Lord is always hurt when it counts. I'm not sure his value is high among contenders. And Celtics probably had already burned the bridge with Brogdon.
Wonder how Blazers handle Williams/Ayton. They can trade Williams for more, but do they decide to keep him in their rebuild. Rockets would probably be a team very interested Boston will miss Williams but Jrue is rhe best defensive pg in the league and will complement Tatum/Brown. Wonder how they fill in the gap at Center now
Not only did the Trail Blazers end up with a ton of draft capital, their lineup is pretty set. PG: Scoot SG: Simons SF: Sharpe PF: Grant C: Ayton / Time Lord They may trade Grant later, but maybe they don't. They are pretty well setup for a while.
For sure. He has been awful on that side of the ball. But both Williams and Brogdon are guys I don't feel super comfortable betting on because of their injury history. I feel better about Jrue being there. Plus, I'm not sure if Jrue will even start. Boston loves Derrick White. So if Jrue is shooting poorly it won't be as damaging to the Celtics overall as it was to the Bucks, IMO.
