I strongly suspect he will have that opportunity. The Knixies can pay him 5-mil and I just don't see any team giving him more, certainly on more than a one-year deal.

    JRS is so-Knickesque.

Of course he wants to retire a Knick. No other team in their right mind would make him their 2nd option on offense.

Some team is going to pay him more than 5 million per year.

With very few exceptions, everybody says he wants to stay with his current team . It's standard free agency speak. Don't want to sound like you are a malcontent, even if you can't wait to leave.

This is a good sign for the Knicks. If Jr smith is taking responsibility for missing shots, maybe he'll finally start working. A jr smith with work ethic would be pretty scary.

Something tells me your wish will come true, J.R. There isn't another team out there that's crazy enough to pay you more than $5m a year.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns threw a bunch of money at him.

    Are you high or something?

JR Smith is JR Smith for a reason. You stay away from players like this unless its under your terms, and he's on a short leash.

Regardless.... who really gives two S#$%'s about JR Smith outside of NY Knicksland? Let those idiots fantasize about retiring the number of the biggest chucker in the league.

Yeah, the Suns look like a team so desperate for talent that they'll overpay anybody.

They'll probably end up with both Josh and JR Smith and be a 10th seed caliber team.

    Someone's sarcasm meter is broken.

JR Smith retiring a Knick is just...
