Whew, whatta play. The man is amazing, foul or no, he swallowed that m0therf!cker. To try and forget a man named Krause, I'm going to Belmont and Lincoln to Stoli my way back to 1998.
It's part of the game, and we benefitted richly from the calls when he was a Bull, so I can't complain. But from a objective viewpoint (or as objective as I can be) his post game statement was interesting:
Certain players getting preferrential treatment should not be part of the game. Where's the integrity? Is this wrestling or basketball?
Written as if you have to go to a particular neighborhood in Chicago to get plastered. I lived near Southport and Belmont, and there were three bars within a 1-1/2 block radius. (And we're talking short blocks here.) Two sports bars with satellite TVs for catching out-of-town games were another block away. Ah, those were the days.
Where was the foul? I just saw the replay on the NATIONAL NEWS (amazing, isn't it?), and it looked clean to me.
I've watched the replay repeatedly on nba.com and the contact came after the block or as the block occured. That block was legit. Add it to the legacy...
