Oh I got the sarcasm but my pessimistic self can’t help but see the dark truths in even the parody. They do say that half of what people say when they are joking is actually true you know. I think America is a country that over history has to learn hard lessons to grow but I’m concerned that the whole “Democracy is overrated let’s make Trump king” lesson won’t be learned and corrected until well after I’m gone from this earth.
It will never be learned so long as humans run the world. Every great empire falls in history. The American one may have had its run. It's dominance won't be quite that of the Roman Empire but it will be noteworthy in how it shaped the world. It's ironic that it's undoing was a capitalist who used populism to undo a capitalist democratic society.
