So basically Harden has had the best offensive season off alltime. Dude is amazing. MVP or not he’s been head and shoulders above everyone in the league this year and it was a true pleasure to watch. Playoffs and championship here we come. Can’t wait.
I believe James needs 21 points in the final game to be the ONLY player to have 2800 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists in a season. Pretty cool!
In 70 games, starting from November 10th, Harden has averaged more than a point a minute. That’s nuts.
James Harden is finally 1st in REAL PLUS MINUS this year http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM And Harden is closing in on Larry Bird for all-time Box Plus Minus https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/bpm_career.html
James Harden final game score watch: Harden has 2779 points now. Ranked 10 in single season total points. Played 77 games, 60+ twice, 50+ 9 times, 40+ 28 times, 30+ 56 times. For the final game in OKC, he needs: - 16 pts from 2795, tied with his first 3 seasons scoring total in OKC - 21 pts from 2800, to be the first ever to have 2800/500/500 in a single season - 29 pts to average 36, first ever to have 36/7 - 30 pts to have the most 30+ games in a season, overpass Kobe - 43 pts to tie Kareem at 9th on single season total score - 50 pts to tie Jordan on most 50 point games in a season, only behind Wilt - 52 pts to tie Bob McAdoo at 8th on single season total score - 53 pts to reach 2832, ties Kobe at 7th on single season total score - 89 pts to reach 2868, ties Jordan at 6th on single season total score - 169 pts to - 254 pts ... ... I say go get 30 if OKC don't put up with a fight. If they show some resistance, drop the 53 bomb.
This is so wrong. Regular season is like preseason for the playoffs. Everyone gets really serious in playoffs, not in regular season.
2818 points is the 10th most ever scored in a season. The only players above him are Wilt, MJ, Kobe, Kareem, and McAdoo. If Harden hadn't missed 4 games, and averaged the same in the those 4, he'd have the 5th greatest scoring season in NBA history. And I don't know where to find the stats, but I would imagine this was the greatest season ever for points created (points + points from assists).
