You're never gonna get it, and you don't want to.

    The funny thing is:

Their words do not contradict from each other. Maybe both of them are right.

Did Harden at least learn how to play harder?

The post I quoted was in reference to media members.

Which media members that aren't local Houston people ride for Harden?

This whole thing is stupid. I give up. I just hope they don't continue this. Apologies by both would be nice. Otherwise, get in the ring and settle it (and...no...McHale...you can't have Danny Ainge standing on the side of the ring to launch a ball at Harden's head). McHale...you were out of line. Harden...real leaders don't respond with immature insults. And, you learned something. Sorry your feelings got hurt, though.

Saying McHale is a clown and he never learned anything from him? We all know that is not true, of course he learned from him. What a stupid thing to say. Harden is the leader of the franchise. He needs to be less thin skinned.

...honestly he never taught me anything..um..you know..to be a leader..

I think the last part is missing when I read some posts. Harden was referencing the "never taught anything" to McHale's actually teaching him to be a leader unlike the current coaches who is trying to develop Harden's leadership skill. I'm on Harden's side here, McHale may say the truth but you try to keep the locker room details in the 4 corners of the wall.

Doesn't prove he isn't a leader. He has ignored a dick load. It's not like he is Kevin Durant. Mchale should shut his mouth

I think CP3 is a better team leader than Harden. Has that made him a better player statistically or successfully? No lol. (sample size applies)

Harden isn't very expressive, he looks like a quiet guy so he doesn't really seem like someone who's vocally motivating guys like KG or Lebron.. does that mean he's not a good leader? Hell no. He's no D-Wade, but the guys listen to him.

I generally prefer taking the high ride (well, do as I say, not as I do) when it comes to these situations, but to be fair, there's only so much crap Harden can take. Is Harden a great leader? He's not a vocal dude, and a lot of these players have growing up to do. I cringe when I think back on things I said or did 20 years ago when I was his age. Hell, I cringe at what I said or did half an hour ago.

I just don't blame him for finally spouting off a bit, you know?

I think Harden's style of leadership is actually better than Paul's when it comes to crunch time. It also has a lot to do with the other players' personalities, but those Clipper teams always seemed to tense up -- as demonstrated by game 6 '15. And I agree that Harden reached his boiling point, and I don't blame him for that.

I wonder how most media reps think of Kawhi as a leader. Or is the assumption that Pop owns that role and just lets Leonard play ball?

Interestingly enough, Westbrook never enters the conversation of good or bad leader. I wonder why.

Bro, I know players that use to play with Harden that are ROFL at what McHale said, and agree.

He lost professional credibility. Trust me, players that use to play with the Rockets are ****ing laughing their ass off. And it's a reason why one of them asked out recently.

    Media rule of thumb:
If you play defense you must be a leader.

Unless you're on the Thunder, then you're just holding Russ back.
