I'm disappointed there aren't NBA stars from other teams this year. The Houston natives should've come joined this event at least.
OK. This Westbrook James Harden love has got me thinking. I've got a number of friends who live in Houston now but grew up in LA. When they first get here they are all like, "this is Texas. I can't wait to get back to LA. This is only temporary. LA is where it's at." But then, after a few years, a lot of nights out on the town, their first home purchase, and they start to realize, "hey Houston isn't so bad. It's diverse like LA. Good tacos and lots of traffic. But man it's cheaper to live and I kinda like the tax rates. Yeah there's no mountains or beaches within an hours drive but it kinda reminds me of home without all the hype." Maybe Houston will reconnect Westbrook with the original feeling of competition and "place" that he felt when he first fell in love with the game. And maybe having a hometown boy to introduce his new hometown to James will rediscover something like the same thing. Hope I'm making sense. I love the fun both seem to be genuinely having and believe things like feeling "at home" is important to chemistry and overall quality of life. I wonder if there are any other LA transplants on this board that can speak to what I've heard from my friends.
Watching these videos also has me wondering what Brodie's wife thinks about her husband staying out late with James.
