That would require them to probably double their win total from this past year, which historically doesn't happen often.
There's a lot that can happen in an offseason, but I doubt we'll be in the playoffs starting next year. There's just too much ground to cover. That doesn't mean it can't happen... With that being said, I'm really happy with the talent we've gotten over the last 3 years and believe in our guys. I don't want to get desperate this offseason just because we don't have our pick (example of being desperate: trading for John Collins and taking away development time from Smith).
I appreciate the goal and focus. I just need Jalen to work with his personal team to work on his body and game all summer for next season. Efficiency, defense and improved strength/athleticism for an 82 game season. Gotta back up these words with action, good luck to him.
I think as a professional athlete, you pretty much have to say the same thing every year - you think your team has a legit shot at a title, you think you are going to be a valuable contributor and get significantly better, etc. It's not like he's going to say, "I think we have a lot of learning and growing to do as a team" in response to the person who asks on his IG Live whether they are going to make the playoffs next year. I would imagine relatively few athletes have the leeway to dive into the nuance of tricky topics like that where your words need to be chosen very wisely. Maybe a Lebron can do it, but if I'm a PR person with a team this young, I'm telling every single Rocket player to say the same thing, "next we are going to the playoffs" - end of story. Don't ask a guy like Jalen Green to just be honest because that's a PR nightmare waiting to happen.
Also: IF we hire a good coach IF we get a FA like Harden IF we trade for someone like Brown IF we get rid of KPJ IF we keep our core of Sengun, Green, Bari, Tari together IF at least 2 of them make a big jump under an actually good coach and IF we use Sengun as Senhub - then yes, I believe we will make the playoffs. And if we were to get Wemby on top of all of that, then even more so.

Too early to say. But not with the current team. But we have a draft & cap space. And trades will happen.
Achieving a goal starts with believing it! But we really sucked this year. Silas' departure will help significantly next season... as will another year of seasoning for our youth, a 1st round pick, and whatever we do in free agency. Patty Fertitta knows it's time to turn the corner.
