Not sure if it deserves its own thread (lock if needed) but it's definitely an interesting watch and gives us some insight into the newest Rocket.
Seems like his personality is a heavy thinker. His confidence isn't the natural alpha type but from the amount of work, effort and thought he puts into things. I imagine his swag isn't innate but comes from how he meets/exceeds his commitments (awards, records, achievements). Reinforces the hard worker persona heard before the draft. Dude is also diplomatic for his age. Very self aware on and off the court. I hope he develops those further into career pillars, and NBA life doesn't turn what seems like a mature personality into a nutcase.
he siad he wants to make the all defense team. last four rookies to do that are, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, MJ, and Bird. Lord have mercy if he makes that list he will have to turn water into wine on this team
It deserves its own thread. (P.S. ... only a true Rockets fan names themselves Bonzi Wells 6 years after he retired.)
To this day, I think this kid is one of the greatest press interviewers I have ever seen. Too bad he didn't make it.
nope. i searched for it and got this. It even shows after clicking the link with "defense 1st team...." But, it is actually showing all nba team https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/rookies-to-make-all-nba-defensive-team
I think it's returning the answer to the wrong question. Olajuwon made 2nd team all-defensive team his rookie year... Bird never made 1st or 2nd his rookie year. Manute Bol should be on the list, too, from what I recall.
Hakeem, Duncan, Robinson, Bol, and Kareem are the only ones I could find. All big men, assuming I didn't miss anybody.
none since the 80's he isnt making that team then. green probably has a better chance of making the all star team than that.
