Alright, I'm going to just assume that the Rockets team is set for next year. I don't think any trades are going to occur, and I do think Moochie will re-sign. If not, they will add a guy like Damon Jones. Anyway, here is next years lineup: Francis-Norris Mobley-Williams Rice-Griffin-Williams-Langhi-Morris Taylor-Thomas-Griffin Cato-Collier It's time to do the extremely popular game by game prediction. Simply copy and paste the following schedule, and add your own wins and losses. It's that simple! Here we go! Defeat Spurs in first round, swept by Lakers in second. Trust me, the Rockets will surprise this year with their record. They could have had 54 wins last year if they had beaten the teams they were supposed to, so 55 wins is not out of the question. Of course, this is only a best case scenario. In reality, I'm sure the Rockets will find a way to lose some "easy" games. My hope is that they will make up for that by getting a win or two against teams that are supposed to beat them.

@ Toronto L Toronto L Why am I not surprised? You know, we beat Toronto by 20 twice last season, without Hakeem both times. We've now added Glen Rice and Eddie Griffin to that team, and the Raptors have added Hakeem. And somehow the Raptors will completely turn the tables and win twice? They'll be lucky if Hakeem is even playing in those games...
zrb - honestly now...40-4 combined vs clippers, seattle, memphis, golden state, denver, chicago, washington, philadelphia, minnesota, detroit, cleveland, indiana, boston, new jersey, new york, and atlanta?!? you take this "we should beat the teams we should beat" thing a little too far (although you gotta admit its cool that teams beat the teams they should beat, but can still win games against teams they should lose to ) but dont get me wrong - i totally appreciate giving denver one of those wins.
@Denver, 7th game of the season I predict the Rockets will lose this game, causing ZRB to self implode and get himself banned again. For good this time. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Nugz fan, Exactly. That's why it's so hard to do predictions on a game by game basis... you know there will be injuries, bad games, etc. that will happen against below average teams. And, I know we'll have at least some success against the Lakers, Spurs, and Kings. I think we'll finish 52-30, and in the 5th seed, but I can guarantee we'll lose several games that we shouldn't, and also win several games against the top teams.
It's impossible to predict these things. Last year I thought the Rox would make the playoffs. I think they might have but had an eye on that #13 pick, all playoff talk to the contrary. We should make the playoffs this year. Figure Lakers, Mavs, Kings, Spurs, Jailblazers, Rockets, Jazz, and either the Suns or Timberwolves. I would hate to open the playoffs against Sacramento. But that would be better than no playoffs at all. How about 51-31, sixth seed?
Oh, c'mon people. A season sweep by the Lakers? Call me crazy, but I think we'll win at least one game against them (regardless of who plays the 5). Yes, our lone win against the Lakers was early on in the season, but I believe we're a better team than last year. Give us a little credit...
excellent! a nugget win and zrb banned? can life get any better? i suggest it cannot. just messin zrb
hehe, yeah i know. i just like giving zrb a hard time. hes becoming one of my favorite posters on this board.
As I said, the Rockets will probably lose to some of those teams I had them going 40-4 against, but they should get a win or two against one of the teams that I had sweeping. Anyway, why the fuss about doing a game by game prediction? It's just for fun. I'm not looking for 100 percent accuracy. Just do the predictions! Cat- I think, and hope, that Hakeem will explode against the Rockets and crush them. If he misses those games, I will put them back in the Rockets' column, but if he plays, I don't think the Rockets will stand a chance. Behad- don't get your hopes up. I'm going to tone it down this year. With Hakeem gone, my sense of urgency to see the Rockets win the title has been reduced. I will still be massively pissed if the Rockets lose to Denver, however.
yeah i know...i was just messin around. besides, you gave us denver a win - how can i complain about that!?

Geez Hydra those are some pretty high expectations you have set for the Rockets. I would love to see that happen, but I dont see it happening. Give us a few years and then maybe, but Im not sure if we go from no playoffs to second seed in the west. My predictions is around a .590 average which would be 48-34. I see them able to make the playoffs, but I wonder who we kick out. Any predictions?
Hmmm, now where have I heard that before? Oh, I remember: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8852&highlight=tone I promise I will tone it down. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15722&highlight=tone Alright, I understand. I will try to tone it down, okay. I actually knew a person like that, too. I know how you feel. I really never intended to sound like one of those nasty "fans". http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15723&highlight=tone I will try to tone it down, now that the rules have been so properly explained to me. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12892&highlight=tone I might tone down my chatting now that I know that it offends so many of you, but I am not going to hold back from expressing myself on this board. Give it up, ZRB. Until you get back on the Lithium, I stand by my prediction.
