Never fails. Hiring Nick Caserio, drafting JJ Watt, drafting CJ Stroud (based on OSU and S2), Giving up picks for Will Anderson, using 1 or 2-year contracts, Tunsil trade, etc... Same with the Rockets and Astros moves. Quick to judge and not waiting to see the next move(s) or how it plays out over time.

From the guy that kept banging the drum for Bill O'Brien years after everyone else realized he was trash.....

There was reason for concern after the lackluster first day, all of those concerns are gone now....but that doesn't mean those concerns were invalid at the time. How many times in the past have the Texans....or any team in Houston merely struck out after not getting their first options?

You aren't new, so don't act like it.

There was no concern. Texans have NEVER been quick in Free Agency. And if you have watched Caserio since he has been here, he has been Deliberate in his pace and moves. Your assumption on the "first option" is not always right. I still believe Stroud was their #1 choice, that is why the Colts' game didn't matter. Barkley was the 1st option....at the Texans' price. Otherwise, Hunter may have been the #1 choice. They didn't put any effort in signing Greenard. Same with Cashman. Don't listen to twitter about the Texans' wants and needs.

He did when he traded for Tunsil.

5 years later, Tunsil is still here.

Texans have always operated with financial guardrails in place regardless of the GM. Biggest difference is that Caserio is actually good at determining value in the personnel market and does not make moves based on emotional outbursts and player perspectives as they relate to their personal lives. Buttchin didnt like "baby mamas" while Caserio is ok with a woman beater as long as the value is there. Stark contrast and almost miracle like ability to get out from the refuse that OBrien left behind in comparatively short time. Future looks bright.

Told yall dynasty was on the horizon. We are positioned for a decade of contention thanks to the new management totem and the great jobs they do.

We’re fans and this is a message board. People are going to have hot takes. It’s part of the fun of being a fan.

Sometimes people get it right, sometimes they get it wrong. It’s like this on every fan board for every team.

He's only upset because the kneejerk-ism is/was negative.

He is king kneejerk, but only when it comes to defending the team/org.

Knee jerk and wanting instant gratification is only amplified on social media nowadays, combined with casual fans makes it worse

We had seen this show before and the fan base suffers from PTSD. Thankfully Nick landed some upgrades in Hunter and Al Shair. He can really kill it with another signing or two like Ridley, Armstead, and a Safety.

SD also has some decisions to make by 4pm on Allen, Williams, Mack and Bosa.

I said my piece in the NFL Free Agency thread... definitely no need to create an entire thread calling people out for it.

It's not like we cursed each other out or spilled blood over it like everyone in the GARM does when their feelings get hurt over someone bashing Jalen, Alpi, or Ime.

It is what it is, I think everyone is just pleased at the end result... maybe next offseason there will be a different approach by our consensus.

Like someone mentioned, we're suppose to overreact. That's what these message boards are for. If everyone just did the wait and see approach, it would be boring.

I'll admit, I was skeptical of Caserio and in some ways, I still am BUT I will admit last yr and this yr, he has flipped a switch.

    Great job Nick
