if you don’t have time to watch them closely then why make a comment on their coach being a great offensive coach or their offense is great?

But the Rockets beat them the previous matchup in Boston by 27 points, and their coach looked like a helpless chicken, then they came and beat us by 21 at home. Why is their victory so much more valid than ours against them in boston?

The first game was early in the year before Boston had a chance to work out the loss of Tatum. The Boston game here their only regular starter was Derrick White. Their second team whooped our ass. Boston has a better record than us and has been missing their franchise player and a couple other starters most of the year. I don’t see how anybody can watch Boston play offense and watch the Rockets play offense and put Ime anywhere near the same tier of coach.

Beggining of the season hoops are way different. And this team is way different now than it was back then. Sengun was actually an all star now he’s regressed brutally to a role player tier center.

Because their record is far superior to us. They are in a competitive race for a top 3 eastern conference team and have firmly secured seed two, inspite of their star player being out for the whole season?

That series against Miami had everyone saying Mazulla wasn't HC material. The year they did win, of note every single team they played en route to the finals had a critical injuries to their best players also.

And last year the Celtics blew huge leads in games 1 and 2 to the Knicks en route to losing that series as well as the favorite.

I think any of the playoff coaches would win a championship with that 23-24 Celtic team. They were really good defensively in the paint and perimeter. Great PG. stretch 5 big that made it tough to drive in the paint against and 2 elite scorers and surrounded by 3 pt shooters.

Spurs are built very much like this and they might win it this year. In fact i think they probably will

    A. Ime Udoka played a major role in building this rockets team, we know the kind of gaurds he likes, the kind of way he treats guards. He clutched on Marcus Smart for 40 minutes a night in boston, He clutched on Vanvleet would continue to do so for 40 minutes a night if not for his ACL being busted, whereas the likes of Pritchard and Reed would be and will be barried on the bench due to their defensive limitations because our coach is extremely stubborn.

    B. The only piece I could possibly see udoka wanting is Porzingis, not even because he’s not known as a defensive center anyway.

    C. GMs and coaches 100% decided the kind of the team they want together. All the GM does is decide the contract, the choose to go after the player is

Well good thing they make a lot of 3s then... wait no they dont? They are 26th out of 30 teams in 3 pointers made? Well surely it would've been nice if Udoka had asked for some 3pt shooting in the offseason instead of defense and rebounding.

He did the same thing here, already had KD, Amen, Tari, Jabari, Tate and Green and instead of adding another guard to a very thin group, he got DFS.
Then FVV goes down and .... It's just not our year.

Stone was handcuffed by the 1A and there wasn't any help in the Tari price range, Capela became necessary when Adams was lost, the only option was move DFS. I'm of the opinion this didn't happen because of Ime. That dude does nothing more than anyone else and Ime still runs him out there. I'm almost surprised he's not starting by now.

He would have had to give up a frp to move DFS. I might still have done it for the right piece coming back, but signing DFS was much more egregious than not moving him. Maybe that’s what you were saying and I’m confused on the wording.

No no, I completely understand that to move DFS Stone likely had to give up a #1, said as much many times.

Just that I think the main reason that didn't happen for someone like Ayo who could have been resigned to a fairly reasonable deal with bird rights was Ime balked at moving DFS. That's obviously his guy.
