This team has a chance to reach the win total of last season in the next couple of weeks and it ain't even February. How did people jump their expectations this high so quickly is beyond me. Look at the threads about season predictions and people's "high end best case scenario" was high 30s, maybe possibly cracking 40. Most people thought a good season showing progress would be getting over 30 wins.
Decent read. Additional stat to note: Rockets this year are also a below average offensive rebounding team. Is it safe to assume Udoka believes similar to JVG's philosophy that when a shot goes up, the Rockets should focus on getting back on defense vs. crashing the offensive glass (relative to NBA averages)? There is nuance to this. If true, I like it. I absolutely hate it when opponents score in transition, particularly at the rim.

This seems simplistic but it is actually a very telling stat... only referring to the quality of those 3's. When the opponent creates better advantages (your defense is worse) it ends in higher % shots. Same on your side, the worse spacing, the worse shooting selection, the lower shooting %. So it really says nothing.
that honeymoon phase was pretty nice earlier in the season. Didn't seem to last long with all the complaining lately
Think Ime is still clearly a long-term answer as the coach. I'm happy overall, but he definitely is not flawless. Overall offensive scheme isn't good & very questionable rotations at times. It's okay to mention that
those are basically going to be the same issues for literally any coach since nobody is perfect. never said Ime was flawless. in fact I said folks were basically assuming he was some magician setting themselves up for failure from the beginning. But the outrage is pretty dramatic I still like him as a coach. But it was always going to be a work in progress and wasn't some overnight fix. as in this is going to take years
