Harden, in 43 minutes of play, with Wood, Tucker and 6 role players against a fully healthy Portland - a team that is/was a legit western conference playoff team: 44 points on 12-22 shooting. Shot 6-13 from behind the arc. Had 17 assists and 1 steal. Imagine saying things like: - "This guy is ruining everything for us." - "Get him the hell out of Houston. He doesn't care about basketball." - "He's a Pippen. That, or a McGrady." Imagine saying things like: - "Let's get Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn and a whole bunch of picks. That's worth it for Harden." - "Let's get Jaylen Brown and a whole bunch of picks. That's worth it for Harden." - "Let's get Ben Simmons and a whole bunch of picks. That's worth it for Harden." Imagine someone saying farfetched things like that on this forum or anywhere else. Imagine.
Yup. People overreact whenever a player does something. If harden hit the winner everyone would make threads like this even after talking smack about him. Was a great game regardless even with the handicap
I'm imagining our full roster once it gels. The fact that Wood and Harden played this well and we pushed a full strength portland to OT down to the wire. It sucks to lose a close game of course, but there are a lot of positive things to take from this.
Yeah, look, I get he asked for a trade. But Tyler Herro? LMFAO. Harden can walk out of a club looking 30 pounds overweight recovering from COVID, and he is a one man offense dropping 44 and 18. Again, Tyler f***ing Herro? They better not trade this man unless he flat out refuses to play. We would be insane to trade him for these role players beying discussed. This is like Hakeem for Stanley Roberts all over again.
This doesn’t change anything. Harden is a terrific player. And ... he doesn’t want to be here. If he can put up big numbers and drive up his value that way, great. But let’s not keep this going any longer than we have to. If Harden is doing his part and being a professional, the Rockets should return the favor and trade him as soon as a decent deal is available.
It will change. Dramatically. Once wall, cousins, Gordon are healthy the people you saw (idk their names) playing a lot of minutes might not even get 3 minutes.
You've once again missed the point. Rockets aren't trying to trade Harden because THEY want to, but because HE wants to be traded. How is that so hard to understand, my good lord...
