Because Dirk took a paycut (to max out a roleplayer)... Hakeem rightfully took the money and is now back in the organization.

Stop misinforming and misleading the good people of this site with your hateful, divisive agenda. Stand with Les.

Rockets to pursue Durant in 2016.

Cuban to be paying Parsons max money in 2016.

    Has a girl's name
    Has a creepy laugh
    Arrogant/elitist demeanor
Does not feel like going deep in the playoffs is necessary
    What's not to like?

Oh, you mean they got out of the first round more than once in the last 16 years?

So we are measuring talent by role player championships? Okay, here's my starting 5

    Steve Kerr
    Derek Fisher
    Robert Horry
    Kurt Rambis
    Will Perdue

25 championships!! How could they ever lose?

Otis Thorpe was never an all star after Les bought the team. Sam Cassell did make 1, though.

The point is, Les inherited a team with an older star who would inevitably decline and retire.

Cuban has never had a minute without the same superstar on his team.

lol, it took years to win with what Cuban "inherited", Mavs were garbage to Finals in 6 years. That first year Les didn't do anything, he basically had a team that the year before were 55-27 (3rd in West). I'll agree with you on being the owner during the trade that got Drexler to be the only team in history to win with a 6th seed (getting their back to back)... But then he followed it up with a reload in 97 (after getting swept by the sonics) of Barkley (which was okay) but then paired it with Maloney (Wtf??!). Obviously he's been involved with the Rockets getting some nice stars but who gives a **** if all that accounts for is regular season games. I'd almost prefer having a team that is actually exciting to watch in the playoffs vs the crap we've had to endure the last ~18 years (obviously the injuries aren't his fault but it's frustrating).

    Probably.

Cuban has Fegan steering every free agent to Dallas. If we had that advantage, we would be better.

Agree with you on both, I hope that it's different this year, but damn man, how many years can we say "next year"...

As WinkFan pointed out, Mark inherited Nowitzki, Nash, and Finley. Their Big 3 for several years. Hardly garbage.

If Morey's not the GM, the Rockets are worse.

We all know that, Tinny. The whole point of this thread within the thread was that you and others mentioned Les having Hakeem, but not Mark having Dirk. God bless WinkFan for reminding us that Cuban inherited Finley and Nash, as well!
