    You don't have to attend the dog show, but in view of the above it's pretty irrelevant what you think the hottest b**** in the show is.

    They had to convince 4 Repubs who were on the fence and ripe. They ended up offending two of them and shot themselves in the foot by insulting the Senate.

    A clear tenant of our constitution was violated today. The Senate’s power to try a sitting president under Articles brought up by the House been denied. The president was not given a trial. This threatens the heart of our democracy

    Blame the House, or specifically, Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi. They fast tracked it and made it a partisan play.

    Every senate trial in history has had additional witnesses and other evidence admitted (there have been several because of federal judge cases as well). Andrew Johnson’s trial had 41 witnesses. It bears repeating that the key witness with firsthand knowledge was denied. That witness alone would have satisfied the democrats’ appetite. Republicans surely would’ve been able to call their own witnesses. The Senate had the opportunity to do the right thing; they’re not exonerated because of any shortcomings by the House. The House met their burden through a fair proceeding. The Senate did not.

    When 75% of the American public wanted witnesses, you know this is a bad look for the republicans. The optics of this are terrible

    they did try the president. they had 17 witnesses come testify. The house, which the constitution says is supposed to build the case, decided they didn't want or need to interview anyone else (including Bolton). They were wrong.

    what? they denied Trump and Republicans almost all his witnesses

    no he wasn't. the subpoena was dropped. the house said they didn't need him. Ironically, if they had subpoenaed him, there would of gone to the supreme court, and you might be hearing from him around now. The house didn't want to do this.
