    So: for those who know Boise, is there a kind of walkable area w good restaurants?

    So far, Mother-in-law and Mrs B-Bob have hatched combo Boise+McCall trip, w McC derived from CF feedback. Woot woot.

    Okay, I have to thank e'rbody for the advice. The trip (in late Sept) worked out really well. My mother-in-law had a great time in McCall for a couple of days and then in Boise. Was super nice to be in downtown Boise on the weekend b/c they had a huge outdoor market. That town really does seem like the new Portland or something. Good vibe, lots of people, families and dogs walking around everywhere.

    Here are a couple of pictures of Lake Payette (near McCall). The 2nd shot is from near our air-bnb cabin, lake-side.

    Mo-in-law has now seen all 50! And she said Idaho was one of the absolute most beautiful.
