I've said it before: Perception Matters. Perceptions makes Harden a selfish ball hog despite averaging 7 assists last year. Perception makes Harden lazy despite only missing one game in 4 years. Perception makes Harden's un-Godly stat lines a product of the D'Antoni system and his unwillingness to play defense. Perception makes Harden unworthy of an All-NBA team despite earning numbers only 3 other players have achieved in NBA history. Perception makes Harden 10th in most likable players despite having one of the more unique personalities in the league Perception makes Houston's 2 titles "unworthy" because MJ wasn't in the league despite Houston demolishing the Bulls every year. Perception Matters for History. Media matters, that's why I care. Harden will never get his due unless the media writes the narrative.
Best wish to you and hope your college degree will help you make some good money and one day you can buy ESPN and only cover the Rockets to stop all the b****ing here.
nothing on espn's front page.. typical royce young okc beat writer has a video of westbrook and triple double lol.. they gonna try to force feed westbrook that MVP I have a quick question, does voting with players and coaches that they are using in the all-star game this year apply towards awards at the end of the year.
iF WESTBROOK, or another player not named harden had a game like that it would at least be in the espn headlines so people could comment on the story. Where you at calvin watkins
Perfectly stated. Perception does matter. That perception is also why the goal post is allowed to change in the MVP criteria from team wins/success (Curry) over Most remarkable season with least support (Harden). Now all of a sudden Hardens team success means less than Westbrook's supporting cast.
Well ESPN has Westbrooks triple double as the Top Headlines but nothing on Harden, but screw em". This reminds me a little bit of the crowning of The Admiral and then we all know what happened later on that year.....
Hahaha, Yea it is, and they posted the Clevand/Hornets score under the story and highlights. Geniuses.
It's currently the second top headline on the ESPN.com home page sportscenter went straight into postgame bowl coverage immediately after the Clemson game. They spent about 20 minutes then led straight to the Harden story. It's not media bias, it's inferiority complex.
My god you guys. Yes perception does matter and the media has been riding harden this year. What's funny to me is they act as if he never passed before and this is some revelation. No.. Guys didn't make shots before. Either way stop going overboard.. Football is king and everyone nba wise is talking about James. If perception matters we should all be thrilled with what's been said about James. I got the Knicks broadcast tonight and they talked about harden more than the entire Knicks team
True, I remember when the narrative was harden was a ball hog who nobody wanted to play with. It made no sense to me.
